Part G · Technical contract
The backend owns state. Everything else submits business commands.
Frontend users, vendors, lenders, integrations and AI submit business commands; they never directly patch current_state. Every transition re-checks current state and version, actor authority, prerequisites, evidence, rules, holds, exceptions, approval and idempotency.
Live graph
The lifecycle, as a guarded signal chain
InteractiveHover or focus any state to isolate its guarded inbound and outbound transitions. No edge exists without a gate; no gate passes without an audit entry.

Engineering noteOverlays, not state explosion: HOLD restrictions, exceptions, SLA risk, Human Takeover, AI paused and system-degraded conditions are overlays or domain statuses — they never multiply the primary lifecycle into hundreds of combined states.
